Join Me at Buxton Books for More Charleston Restaurant History

Robert Moss Buxton Books Part 2.png
In June I gave a talk at Buxton Books in downtown Charleston that drew upon material from my newest book, The Lost Southern Chefs: A History of Commercial Dining in the Nineteenth-Century South, and told the story of restaurant dining in Charleston from the 800 through the end of Reconstruction.

There simply wasn't enough time to carry the narrative through the 20th century to today, so that's why I'm coming back the month to tell the rest of the story. Tickets for the event are $10, but admission is FREE if you buy a copy of the book. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
